Hello fellow coffee lovers and deadheads! Dark Star Roaster is my way of merging my two significant interests; thoughtfully roasted coffee beans and memories of awesome live shows.
I saw the Grateful Dead for the first time at Madison Square Garden on September 20, 1982. It changed my life and, like many of you, I have the mountain of tapes to show for it. I’m a deadhead to this day, having last seen the band with Jerry at Soldier Field in July of 1995 and continuing to see shows of the surviving members since then.
Learning more about roasting excellent coffee has happened over the last few years as I also spent time building gratefulstats.com. Blending my love of this music with coffee has led to Dark Star Roaster. I hope you enjoy the coffee and continue to enjoy the music!
